DF Countryman Signs Distribution Agreement with EGT to Sell HEMi Digital Encoders and Related Products into the CATV and IPTV Telco Markets

Minneapolis, MN (PRWeb) March 5, 2007 -- In a strong bid to position both companies for success in the CATV and IPTV markets, DF Countryman and EGT have inked a distribution agreement.

The specifics of the agreement leverage DF Countryman's relationships with top tier CATV and IPTV buyers for EGT's line of digital encoders and other products. Specifically, DF Countryman's stocking requirements will focus on the "HEMi" line of encoders.

HEMi is a low-cost, high-density edge encoding solution for off-site insertion of local channels. Perfect for MDU and closed communities, HEMi provides an integrated and scalable solution that encodes, multiplexes, modulates and converts up to nine channels, such as security cameras, community programming or events calendars.

Recent additional distribution agreements involving DF Countryman include Techline Engineering, a manufacturer of utility trailers used as mobile workspaces for fiber optic splicing and testing.

DFC will be showcasing these new and legacy products and manufactures at the North Central Cable Show, Great Planes SCTE, Iowa RITA and Minnesota Telephone shows over the month of March 2007.
